The Opportunity:

Our Client is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Group Head of Technology & AI Adoption to lead their technical strategy and foster a culture of AI-driven innovation across the entire organization. This senior leadership role will operate at a Group level, overseeing multiple product lines and acting as a critical bridge between groundbreaking innovation and rock-solid execution within a demanding crypto environment. You will be responsible for defining the technical future, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability of exchange operations, while passionately driving the practical adoption of AI to create tangible business value.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive AI Adoption: Lead and champion the strategic integration and practical adoption of Artificial Intelligence across all product lines and organizational functions, moving beyond theoretical concepts to real-world, impactful implementations within the crypto exchange.

Strengthen Core CTO Fundamentals: Oversee and enhance the foundational technical infrastructure, ensuring excellence in software architecture, system scalability (handling high transaction volumes), enterprise-grade security (crucial for digital assets), operational reliability, and robust technical governance across the Group.

Group-Level Leadership: Operate effectively across multiple, diverse product lines (e.g., spot trading, derivatives, custody, DeFi integrations), identifying synergies, standardizing best practices where appropriate, and ensuring a cohesive technological vision aligns with broader business objectives.

Senior Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 5-10 senior direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology leadership cohort.

Balance Innovation & Execution: Masterfully balance the pursuit of cutting-edge technological innovation (e.g., new AI trading strategies, blockchain integrations) with the disciplined execution required to deliver stable, high-quality, and market-ready products on time and within budget.

Strategic Vision: Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company, translating business goals into a clear and actionable technology roadmap.

Profile Requirements:

Deep Infrastructure & Systems Credibility: Possess extensive, hands-on experience and a proven track record in building and scaling complex, highly performant, and resilient technology platforms, ideally within a high-throughput, low-latency environment.

AI Integration Mindset: Demonstrated ability to lead real-world AI adoption initiatives, moving beyond conceptual understanding to successful, measurable integration of AI technologies within product development and operational processes. This is not a theoretical role; practical leadership in AI implementation is essential.

Exchange/Institutional-Grade Scale: Comfortable operating and architecting systems at the scale and rigor demanded by crypto exchange operations or institutional financial services environments, with a keen eye for performance, low-latency, fault tolerance, and regulatory compliance.

Crypto & Financial Services Background: Strong crypto understanding is highly preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in high-frequency trading (HFT), quantitative finance, or broader financial services technology with transferable skills to the digital asset space will also be considered.

Leadership & Influence: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and align diverse teams and stakeholders towards a common technical vision.

Problem-Solving: A pragmatic and analytical approach to problem-solving, capable of navigating complex technical and organizational challenges in a rapidly evolving market.
