What This Role Is

You will be the technical authority on a complex banking virtualisation transformation. This is not a support role or BAU position. You will own solution design, shape migration strategy, produce HLD/LLD documentation, govern implementation, and represent the technical team to senior banking stakeholders. If you need to be told what to do, this role is not for you.

What You Will Actually Do

• Lead technical discovery workshops and requirements sessions with the bank's architects and IT leadership
• Design and own the end-to-end VMware to Hyper-V migration approach — including sequencing, risk mitigation, and rollback planning
• Produce and sign off HLD, LLD, implementation plans, migration plans, test strategies, and operational handover documents
• Provide technical oversight during implementation — you are the senior escalation point when things break
• Sit on architectural review boards, CAB, and risk/change governance forums
• Mentor L2 engineers and set technical direction for the delivery team
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, security teams, and customer architects
• Contribute to pre-sales scoping and technical proposals where required

Non-Negotiable Requirements

You must have all of these. Missing any one = not progressing.

Extensive VMware AND Hyper-V experience at architect or senior engineer level

Proven end-to-end delivery of enterprise migration/transformation projects

Deep Windows Server expertise including Active Directory and enterprise patching

Experience designing and supporting large-scale mission-critical production environments

Strong understanding of compute, storage, and network interdependencies in enterprise datacentres

Experience with clustering, HA, DR, enterprise storage, and networking

Hypervisor security, hardening, and compliance knowledge

Singapore-eligible — must be able to work in Singapore

Preferred / Strong Advantage

• Demonstrable VMware to Hyper-V migration experience at design AND delivery level
• Microsoft Windows Server 2025, Hyper-V, SCVMM, System Center, Azure Arc
• Prior banking or FSI environment experience
• MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines knowledge
• Relevant certifications: VCP/VCAP, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible
• Pre-sales, consulting, or advisory experience
