ROLE SUMMARY
The Head of Human Resources, Greater ASEAN will serve as a key strategic partner to senior regional leadership, translating business priorities into integrated people strategies across multiple ASEAN markets. Based in Vietnam and reporting directly to the CHRO, this role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution across all core HR domains.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Leadership
Translate regional business strategy into an integrated people strategy with clear priorities, success metrics, and implementation roadmaps across all in-scope countries.
Serve as a trusted strategic business partner to senior leaders, advising on organization design, workforce planning, leadership capability, and change management.
Partner with the CHRO and global HR leadership to align regional initiatives with global HR strategies and programs, while enabling appropriate local adaptation.
Team & HR Operations
Lead and develop the Greater ASEAN HR team and country HR leaders, fostering a high-performance, customer-centric HR culture with clear accountability.
Define and continuously improve the HR operating model for the region, including ways of working with global HR, COEs, and shared services.
Manage the regional HR budget and headcount, ensuring effective resource allocation and productivity improvements across HR processes.

Drive performance management, learning and development, and succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline and future-ready capabilities.
Promote and lead organizational development and change initiatives supporting business transformation, cultural evolution, and continuous improvement.
Compliance, Employee Relations & Analytics
Ensure full compliance with labor and employment regulations across all ASEAN countries, proactively managing HR risks and maintaining locally compliant policies.
Lead employee relations across the region, overseeing case management, investigations, and resolution of complex issues with fairness and consistency.
Use people analytics and HR metrics (engagement, attrition, time-to-hire, internal mobility, talent risk) to inform decisions and track HR impact.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience & Background
15+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior regional HR leadership role covering multiple ASEAN countries.
Deep understanding of ASEAN labor laws, cultural norms, and business practices, with demonstrated experience operating in complex multi-country environments.
Proven track record across core HR domains: talent acquisition, performance and rewards, learning and leadership development, employee relations, and HR operations.
Solid experience leading organization design, HR transformation, and change initiatives that have improved business performance and employee experience.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional and multicultural HR teams, including matrix and remote reporting structures.
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior executives, providing credible challenge and thought leadership on people and culture topics.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
Education & Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; postgraduate degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
High level of data literacy, with experience using HR analytics and digital HR tools to support decision-making and measure outcomes.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional ASEAN languages is an advantage.
