Our client, a reputable Construction and Real Estate Development firm based in Vaughan, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team. About the Role:
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day AP operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will work closely with project managers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth financial processing within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and approvals.
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents.
- Perform regular reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage payment runs and prepare EFTs, cheques, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in Yardi.
- Assist with month-end closing tasks, accruals, and reporting.
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable within the Construction or Real Estate Developmentindustry; OR 4+ years of AP experience in the Property Management sector.
- Proficiency in Yardi is required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices in AP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
