Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to take ownership of leading our cleaning operation in the South West of England?

Nexgen Facilities Services (part of the Nexgen Group) are seeking an experienced Cleaning Area Manager to work closely with the Operations Director in delivering an outstanding service to a large portfolio of customers in the Commercial and Education sectors across the Bristol, Bath, Southampton, North Devon & Cornwall areas.

Starting salary - Upto £35,000

A company car is provided (Full UK driving license required)

We are required to carry out an enhanced DBS check for the successful person (We will cover the cost of conducting the check).

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the Operations Director in start up procedures including customer liaison, ordering of stores/equipment and putting in place all necessary systems
  • Arrange and complete site visits, audits & inspections regularly to ensure quality standards are being maintained. 
  • Carry out ad hoc quality management system inspections
  • Maintain efficient and accurate records for quality, cost control and personnel in line with company best practice
  • Assist with all TUPE transfers for assigned contracts in the region
  • Support the team with staff recruitment across the region
  • Take ownership of budget management, ensuring levels of expenditure are within the set targets
  • Resource management across the region, having the right resource, in the right place at the right time
  • Ensure sites falling within the Companys ISO procedures are operated in accordance with the Quality Manual-Quality Procedures

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in the cleaning industry in a management capacity is highly advantageous 
  • Thrives on the challenges the cleaning industry has, as no two days are the same
  • Previous experience leading and motivating a team
  • Experience of working in schools , commercial businesses offices desirable 
  • Awareness and understanding of COSHH
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to communicate and engage with a variety of people 
  • Full UK Driving Licence
