Lead, Frontend Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Hires, trains, mentors, and manages a team of Frontend Engineers, fosters a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Sets clear expectations, goals, and performance metrics for Frontend Engineers.

  • Provides regular feedback, conducts performance evaluations, and identifies opportunities for skill development.

  • Establishes coding standards, best practices and writes production quality and maintainable code in accordance with standards and best practices

  • Creates framework, designs framework for unit, integration and functional testing

  • Understands overall project architecture and breaks down of high level non technical requirements into technical tasks

  • Analyzes and reviews code keeping in view of the project architecture, third party integrations, infrastructure and organizational goals

  • Analyzes third party documentation, resolves any bottlenecks with third party services

  • Implements test framework for the project in accordance with overall system architecture, third party integrations and infrastructure

  • Understands overall delivery timelines and actively communicates with managers.

  • Provides technical guidance to management team on delivery timelines

  • Involves in providing estimates at various stages of project life cycle

  • Thoroughly understands business requirements.

Qualification Requirements

  • Must be located in North America - US or Canada

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Frontend Engineering

  • Must have at least 2+ years experience leading and managing Frontend teams

  • Experience in digital, media, content management systems, and consumer facing applications is strongly required.

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and the Next League leadership team

  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to constantly changing business environment, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Proven track record of at scale solutions for consumer facing digital experiences.

  • Proven experience in the sports industry is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with designers, developers, and product owners

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does have supervisory responsibilities.

Location/Work Hours:

This role is 100% remote. The business working hours are 9am to 6pm EST but this role may require night and weekend work as determined by the client.

Travel Requirements:

This position is expected to travel 10% of the time.

The base salary range for this position in the US is $80,000 - $130,000 (USD). Salary will be commensurate with a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
