Position Overview
We are seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join a collaborative Medical Imaging team in Peoria, Illinois.
Under the direction of a radiologist, the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures while providing safe, comfortable, and patient-centered care. This position requires strong knowledge of imaging techniques, patient positioning, anatomy, and radiation safety.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist seeking a four-day workweek, strong shift differentials, and continued professional growth within a hospital imaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic radiographic procedures
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Apply prescribed ionizing radiation using proper technical factors and safety standards
- Collect relevant patient medical history before imaging procedures
- Explain imaging procedures and answer patient questions
- Provide safe and comfortable care to pediatric, adult, elderly, and medically complex patients
- Review image quality and determine whether additional images may be necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate imaging and patient documentation
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a formal Radiography program with an associated certificate or degree
- ARRT registration at hire OR ability to obtain registration within 2 years of hire after sitting for the registry within 6 months of hire
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience performing routine diagnostic procedures in General Radiology
- Previous customer service or patient experience background
- Strong knowledge of patient positioning and radiographic techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Compensation & Incentives
Pay Range: $27.25–$35.67 per hour
Shift Differential: $2.25 per hour
Weekend Differential: $2.50 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: Available for eligible candidates
