Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7.5-hour shift between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Start Date: Target 3/2/26
Salary: $38,000 – $48,000 annually (DOE)

Overview

We are seeking Child Care Teachers to support children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This role utilizes the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing creativity, independence, and child-led exploration. Teachers work collaboratively to support cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development while partnering closely with families.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Reggio approach
• Create a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
• Document daily activities, progress, and observations; communicate with parents
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development
• Supervise classroom aides and volunteers as assigned
• Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and infection-control standards
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education

Requirements

Education (one of the following):

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or related field
• High school diploma plus 40+ hours of early childhood coursework
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years working with children ages 6 weeks–6 years (paid or unpaid)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, active, and occasionally noisy environment

Preferred

• Bachelor's or Master's in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
• CDA (Child Development Associate) certification
• Experience with infants (6 weeks–2 years)
• Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
