Job Title: Registered Physical Therapist
Location: Clinton, Missouri (patient home visits required)
Noted: Need coverage for Henry and St. Clair counties
Salary: $85,500 - $100,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $55-$64 per point (Approx. $85,500-$100,000 annually)
Mileage Reimbursement: $0.45/mile (excluding commute to/from home)
Job Overview:
The Registered Physical Therapist provides skilled physical therapy services to patients in their homes as ordered by a physician. This role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, supervision of staff, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to help patients restore or maintain optimal physical function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial and ongoing comprehensive patient assessments, including OASIS assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Provide therapeutic interventions (exercise, massage, heat, water, light, electricity) to relieve pain, restore function, and optimize performance.
- Educate patients and families on therapy programs, mobility aids, and equipment use.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, paraprofessionals, and Home Health Aides.
- Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and patient responses within required timeframes.
- Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with physician orders, agency policies, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (approved by AMA & APTA).
- Current State of Missouri PT license or registration.
- Minimum of 1 year of institutional or home health experience.
- Ability to drive and access patient homes.
- Must meet physical requirements: lifting/carrying up to 30 lbs, occasional patient transfers up to 250 lbs.
- Criminal background, OIG, and National Sex Registry clearance required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
