Pay Range: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to provide behavioral health services in a secure clinical setting in Crescent City, CA. This full-time contract role offers competitive hourly pay, weekly payroll, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent state position with full benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-call crisis services and emergency mental health consultations during workdays
• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including assessments of criminal and substance abuse history
• Assess and document suicide risk using sound clinical judgment
• Deliver psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and clinical interviews in various care environments
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to diagnose and manage psychiatric disorders
• Prepare clinical reports, develop and revise treatment plans, and provide expert consultation on complex cases
• Maintain detailed and ethical clinical documentation; monitor treatment progress
• Communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate quality care

Required Qualifications

• Experience: At least 12 continuous months of LPCC experience within the last 3 years in direct patient care
• Education: Masters Degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health field
• Licensure: Active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (hard copy required)
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Identification: Valid Photo ID, Drivers License, or Passport
