Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Shift: Days (Monday-Friday, between 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

Weekend Requirements: None

On-Call Requirements: None

Hourly Rate: $22.23 - $27.37 (Based on years of experience)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical operations in a busy outpatient setting. This role involves coordinating patient flow, performing delegated clinical duties, and supporting both providers and administrative staff. The CMA serves a diverse population ranging from infants to geriatrics and plays a vital role in the daily success of the clinic.

This is a collaborative position that requires interaction with nurses, providers, and clinic leaders to meet patient care goals, ensuring an efficient and patient-centered experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and manage standard patient flow procedures.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed.
  • Perform laboratory specimen collection and basic clinic lab tests.
  • Provide phone triage and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
  • Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
  • Perform phlebotomy and x-ray procedures if certified.

Clinic Operations:

  • Support front desk operations including check-in when needed.
  • Order, stock, and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the medical record system.

Compliance & Professional Standards:

  • Adhere to regulatory, legal, and ethical standards of practice.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Report compliance concerns as needed to leadership or appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
  • Phlebotomy or x-ray certification a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
