Hourly Rate: $22.23 - $27.37 (commensurate with experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a clinical team in Brooklyn Center, MN. The CMA will support day-to-day clinical operations, manage patient flow, and assist providers in delivering care across a range of ages, from infants to geriatrics. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

  • Perform patient rooming, immunizations, injections, and medication administration as directed by providers.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens.
  • Depending on clinic needs, may also:
  • Handle telephone inquiries and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
  • Assist with prescription refill processing.
  • Conduct x-rays (if certified as an x-ray operator).
  • Perform phlebotomy and clinic laboratory testing.

Clinic Support:

  • Provide assistance with front desk and patient check-in as needed.
  • Order and stock medical and office supplies.
  • Help with obtaining prior authorizations and other administrative support tasks.

Compliance & Professionalism:

  • Adhere to medical assistant scope of practice and organizational policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient privacy standards.
  • Report compliance concerns and contribute to a culture of safety and quality.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development as required.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credentials required.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and staff.
  • Flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced clinical environment.
