Location: Uvalde, TX

Shift: 8-Hour Days

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $42.92 - $64.38 (based on experience)

Relocation Assistance: $5,000

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Joint Commission Compliance Officer and Director of Quality, HIPAA & Risk Management. This leadership role ensures regulatory compliance, manages risk, and oversees quality improvement initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is a confident healthcare leader with strong regulatory knowledge and a background in hospital administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organizations Joint Commission compliance efforts and regulatory readiness.
  • Oversee all functions related to quality, risk management, HIPAA compliance, and patient safety.
  • Manage and coordinate initiatives involving the following roles:
  • Quality Coordinator (RN)
  • Patient Safety/Risk Officer (RN)
  • Infection Control Nurse
  • Patient Advocate / Patient Experience Coordinator (Inpatient & Outpatient)
  • Information Systems Analyst
  • Abstractor
  • Develop and execute performance improvement strategies using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Maintain and enforce healthcare regulations, quality standards, and privacy practices.
  • Serve as a key advisor on risk mitigation, compliance, and regulatory affairs.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Healthcare regulations and compliance
  • Quality improvement processes
  • Risk management frameworks
  • HIPAA requirements
  • Experience with performance improvement and regulatory surveys preferred.
  • Certification required within 1 year of hire:
  • RIMS-CRMP (Risk Management Professional) or CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management)
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification (Yellow, Green, or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Must meet health and vaccination requirements (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Hep B, Meningococcal).
  • Adherence to professional appearance standards, including limited piercings and appropriate jewelry.
