Shift Type: Days
Shift Schedule: Monday Thursday, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Evening hours required based on program needs)
Hourly Salary Range:
- Full License: $28.90 - $38.89 per hour
- Limited License: $26.68 - $35.91 per hour
- Sign-On Bonus: $3,000
Role Overview:
The Adult Behavioral Health & Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist will provide comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment services to adolescents and adults. This role requires strong clinical skills, case management expertise, and the ability to work independently in a diverse, community-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload of clients with primary substance abuse and/or mental health diagnoses.
- Conduct intake assessments to determine treatment needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy services in accordance with medical necessity and best clinical practices.
- Complete all case records, documentation, and treatment authorizations in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with funding sources, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care.
- Engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with individuals and families across multiple treatment modalities.
- Develop collaborative relationships with team members and external providers.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements, agency policies, and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling (required).
- Must obtain State of Michigan licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, or LLP) within 60 days of hire (if not already licensed).
- Experience:Minimum one year of experience (including internships/fieldwork) working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness and substance use disorders (required).
- Certifications & Licensure:Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential required within 120 days of hire.
- Must hold or be actively registered for a CAADC credential or an MCBAP certification Development Plan within six weeks of hire.
- Skills & Competencies:Strong clinical assessment and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining compliance with treatment protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and follow written, oral, and schedule-based instructions.
- Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support clients in multiple treatment settings.
