Job Title: Registered Nurse Behavioral Health / Mental Health
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Salary: $28.90 to $41.00 per hour, based on experience
Shift: Varied shifts available, including full-time 2nd shift (32 hours), full-time 3rd shift (36 hours), and options for 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
Weekend Requirements: May be required
On-Call: May be required
Sign-On Bonus: $8,000 - $12,000

Job Overview:
Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to diverse behavioral health populations, including youth, high-acuity adults, and older adults. This role offers an $8,000$-12,000 sign-on bonus, shift differentials, and opportunities to serve in both hospital and residential settings. Nurses collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, lead clinical care, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment while upholding the organizations mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs, develop and update individualized care plans

• Coordinate and provide nursing care in collaboration with physicians and care teams

• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge needs, and aftercare

• Maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff

• Document and report patient information in accordance with policies

• Identify and communicate safety risks to physicians and leadership

• Serve as a clinical leader by delegating and coordinating staff assignments

• Support and promote a recovery-focused, person-centered approach

• Participate in quality improvement, resource stewardship, and staff development

• Model professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions

Required Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license (state-specific)

• Experience in behavioral health or mental health nursing preferred

• Strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

• Commitment to patient-centered and recovery-focused care

  • 7am-3pm Saturday & Sunday: +$1.25/hour

  • 3pm-11pm Monday-Thursday: +$2.00/hour

  • 3pm-11pm Friday-Sunday: +$3.00/hour

  • 11pm-7am Monday-Thursday: +$4.00/hour

  • 11pm-7am Friday-Sunday: +$5.00/hour
