Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Clinical Educator to support and mentor clinical students enrolled in credentialed university-level ultrasound programs.
This position combines hands-on patient care with clinical education. You will provide instruction, supervision, and guidance to ultrasound students while also performing the responsibilities of a staff Ultrasound Technologist in the clinical setting.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sonographer who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping develop the next generation of ultrasound professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision to ultrasound students
- Support students in meeting clinical competencies and graduation requirements
- Mentor students throughout their clinical education experience
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as a staff Ultrasound Technologist
- Maintain high standards for image quality and patient care
- Collaborate with clinical teams and university ultrasound programs
- Promote a positive and supportive learning environment
- Participate in required call coverage
- Follow department policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and completion of an accredited ultrasound program
- Active RDMS certification
- Active RVT certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in both clinical and educational environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft software and basic computer systems
Compensation
Pay Range: $45.21–$53.19 per hour
Actual compensation is based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
