We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Associate to join our team at NextGen Invent, an innovative technology and AI services company. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in business development, with a focus on IT and data science (AI) services. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Key responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

Utilize your connections, attend events/conferences, making calls in addition to other ways to generate high-quality leads. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Attend various evening events in NYC to generate leads.

Partnership Building:

Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology product companies such as MicroSoft, nVidia . Develop relationships with key executives of these companies to generate leads and enhance collaboration.

Business Development / Sales Process Optimization:

Follow-up (in-person visit, email, phone) and enhance the business development/sales process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing automation where possible. Contribute to the development and optimization of the sales strategy.

Research and Solution Definition:

Conduct thorough research to understand prospect needs and define appropriate needs and solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor offerings to meet client requirements.

Sales and Marketing Document Creation:

Create compelling sales presentations, and RFP responses incorporating new case studies and relevant information. Effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.

Prepare and submit Statements of Work (SOW) in a timely manner.

Sales Meetings and Follow-ups:

Coordinate and conduct sales meetings with potential clients.

Implement robust follow-up strategies using various communication channels.

CRM and Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system. Maintain and manage bid templates, services documentation, and client profiles.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with team members to generate new leads and optimize sales strategies.

Provide guidance and support to team members involved in lead generation.

Relationship Building:

Build and nurture relationships with key contacts to continually expand the network. Leverage your existing relationships to generate new business opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in business development, preferably in the IT services industry.
  • Must have sold AI and technology services are sold before.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT services, solutions, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation processes.
  • Must have own conveyance to participate in sales events and visit prospective clients.
