Functional Area: Business Development
We are seeking an experienced AVP/Sr. Manager- Business Development who is able to manage end-to-end sales cycle and serve as a key member of the sales team to drive sales. Ideal candidate will be the one with hands-on experience and expertise in performing and guiding team on each of the sales tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Business Development Planning & Execution
- Identifying potential clients and opportunities for new business.
- Developing and implementing strategies to attract new clients and grow existing business.
- Develop prospect base through social media platforms, LinkedIn, referrals, emails, cold calling, partnership, Upwork, website inquiries, trade fairs, conferences etc. and thereby contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in line with internal SOP, lead and facilitate sales.
- Networking with potential clients and industry professionals to build relationships and generate leads.
- Researching and analyzing market trends and competition to inform business decisions.
- Developing and presenting proposals to potential clients.
- Managing relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction and maintain a high level of business.
- Helping team to identify and effectively converting the enquiry into active discussion by understanding the specific requirement and further probing techniques.
- Ensure to check and adherence to all internal SOPs like getting KYC, NDA etc.
- Drive new avenues for marketing the company services, present case studies, obtain client testimonials, write blogs, social media content etc.
- Give demos to the prospects.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Perform regular follow-up and coordination with prospects.
- Maintaining prospect and client records in CRM. Provide daily and weekly status to the leadership team.
- Provide information regularly to the leadership on competitors activities, new opportunities, best practices and other changes in the industry to discuss and effectively develop business development/ expansion strategy.
- Team Management & Development
- Define sales goal for reporting team. Define and manage tasks of reporting team to achieve sales goal.
- Ensure clear communication on expectations to the team and keep them informed of matters about their job and develop personnel growth opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Must have excellent writing skills to write emails, follow-ups, RFP responses, and case studies.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Bonus: Technical experience, MBA and/or Masters.
- Minimum 9+ years of technology services sales experience selling at leading technology services or data analytics services companies.
- Experience in managing partnership with Microsoft, AWS or other technology partner is a plus.
- Experience with AI, ML and NLP, data and transformation tools is a plus.
- Creating presentation using Powerpoint software is required.
- A track record for meeting & exceeding sales target. Working with US, Canada or European leads is required.
- Experience working in a fast-growing start-up.
- Good decision-making, negotiation, analytical skills, follow up and relationship building skills.
- Must have team building and handling experience.
