Gen AI - Data Scientist

This role will directly report to the VP, Data Science in Data Science Practice. The person will work on Generative AI and advanced data science use-cases for the enterprise and must have deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, and AI-driven solution development, with a strong focus on delivering scalable solutions to solve business problems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leverage Generative AI (GenAI), LLMs, and ML techniques to deliver enterprise use cases
• Design and implement GenAI solutions such as chatbots, copilots, and intelligent assistants
• Build end-to-end GenAI pipelines including prompt engineering, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Develop and deploy data science and GenAI solutions in an Agile delivery model
• Implement and scale high-availability models, LLM applications, and AI systems across business functions
• Investigate and create experimental GenAI prototypes for specific domains and verticals
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns and improve model outputs
• Evaluate and optimize LLM responses, including reducing hallucinations and improving accuracy
• Maintain and enhance existing AI/ML and GenAI solutions for improved performance
• Design and execute large-scale experiments to validate models and hypotheses

Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

• Must have Ph.D. in an analytical or technical field (e.g., applied mathematics, computer science)
• Minimum 2 years of data science-related work experience in live projects is a must.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, NLP, and Generative AI concepts
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Llama, Claude) and prompt engineering
• Experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector search
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel
• Ability to build and deploy AI/GenAI solutions effectively in production environments
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional stakeholders and deliver results
• Ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams
• Must have programming experience in Python (mandatory), SQL; R is a plus
• Experience in developing and improving machine learning and GenAI projects
• Strong familiarity with current trends in AI and Generative AI ecosystems
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms
• Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools
• Healthcare experience is a plus
• Experience in Kafka, chatbot development, and blockchain is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience working with USA or European clients is a plus
