Service Technician Location

Service Technician Location: McHenry, IL (On-site) 

Additional Locations: Alpharetta, GA and Dickinson, TX Employment Type: Full-Time Experience 

Level: Associate 

Compensation: $24/hour Travel: Up to 40%

Overview A well-established engineering services company is seeking experienced Service Technicians to join its team across multiple locations. This hands-on role involves repair, calibration, field service, training, and product demonstrations both in-house and at customer sites. Ideal candidates will be mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair tools in both shop and field settings
• Perform in-house calibration and product conversions
• Travel to customer sites and offshore locations to operate tooling and provide training and demonstrations
• Enter service data into internal systems and track parts usage
• Modify and prepare toolboxes for kits, including painting and labeling
• Pack and unpack equipment for trade shows and exhibitions
• Maintain inventory records and assist with physical counts
• Provide customer service via phone and in person

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in service or technical roles
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and climb ladders or scaffolding
• Valid drivers license and ability to rent vehicles for travel
• Excellent time management, communication, and teamwork skills
• Professional appearance and commitment to safety
