DATABASE COORDINATOR

Accountable to:  Vice President of Advancement

Responsibilities:

Community

  • Models Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria
  • Participates in seminars and conferences to foster professional growth
  • Assists with administrative requests from other departments on case by case basis

Administrative

  • Provides administrative support to members of the Advancement Team including the Head of School, as necessary
  • Records information updates to constituents in Raisers Edge
  • Participates in long range planning for the Advancement Department
  • Updates and manages the database for: alumnae, friends, parents, past parents, current students, trustees, faculty, staff, Children of Mary, Alumnae, Board, capital campaign, Heritage Society, and the Book of Remembrance
  • Manages the donor software (Raisers Edge)
  • Assists with planning of fund-raising timelines for events, mailings, and appeals
  • Records and processes acknowledgement and tax letters, billing statements, and a series of monthly tasks including pledge payment reminders and recurring gifts
  • Produces database for eblasts, bulk and general mailings and coordinates with Advancement team as necessary
  • Assists with the organization and coordination of phone-a-thons and giving days 
  • Attends and participates in Advancement Team meetings, providing input on current fundraising events, donor information, and department long range planning
  • Reconciles donations received with the business office on a consistent basis
  • Other duties as requested by members of the Advancement Team and/or Head of School

Donor-related

  • Engages guests and assists at advancement related events as necessary
  • Participates in donor prospecting which includes, but is not limited to, identifying various individuals, businesses, and families who are well-positioned to support Duchesne
  • Assists with telephone requests from alumnae and friends regarding data information 

Skills required

  • Experience in database management required; proficiency in Raisers Edge and/or other Blackbaud products preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required; expertise in Excel required
  • Must be highly organized and able to work under sometimes tight deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and an ability to understand the bigger picture 
  • Must be efficient and solution focused
  • Must be comfortable working independently and among a team

Salary

$47,000 - $60,000 annual starting base salary depending on experience, plus benefits.
