Chief Technology Officer (SaaS)

Location: Phnom Penh

Reports To: CEO

Salary: $2,500-$3,000 per month

Job Summary

We're looking for a CTO to lead the development of a connected, data-focused merchant platform. This platform will empower businesses, customers, suppliers, and financial institutions by enabling seamless interactions, real-time insights, and continuous innovation. You'll drive ongoing software development to ensure our technology evolves with user needs and market changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire software development lifecycle to continuously improve the platform's performance, usability, and scalability.
  • Oversee the design and deployment of a modular, API-first architecture for quick feature releases and third-party integrations.
  • Build and maintain specialized tools, such as inventory forecasting, demand analytics, financial reports, and spending insights.
  • Implement agile and DevOps practices to speed up development and ensure high-quality, secure code delivery.
  • Create a data-driven feedback loop to prioritize product improvements based on user behavior and platform analytics.
  • Ensure the platform is accessible through multilingual, mobile-first, and offline-capable applications.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, experimentation, and continuous learning within the engineering team.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in software engineering or platform development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience with agile software development, CI/CD pipelines, and iterative product delivery.
  • Strong background in data architecture, analytics platforms, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of Point of Sale (POS) systems, financial APIs, and user-centered design.
  • A passion for inclusive technology and building tools that make a measurable impact.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
