About the job Supply Planning Manager
Position Summary:
• Manages Comapny Supply Chain teams (Branded Products, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, S&OP and Project Management).
• Collaborates with Supply Chain department managers to lead and facilitate process change for identified gaps or process improvement opportunities.
• Lead process improvement of the department to be more productive and provide higher quality output, achieve improved supply chain planning and operational excellence
• Monitors all daily, weekly and monthly tasks and activity of Analytics including Supply Chain
• Ensures that metrics (e.g. Inventory, sales, supply, etc. ) are being met and operations are adhering to the standards
Major Responsibilities:
1. Primary interface between Management, Planning and Execution teams to understand and communicate supply, risks and opportunities.
2. Supervise the Analytics department and interacts with Senior Management, Supply Managers, Marketing Product Managers and Finance to provide analytical support. Also, manages statistical demand planners utilizing the Demantra software and forecasting processes. Establishes acceptable levels of forecast accuracy and work with planners to report levels of accuracy and continuous improvements in forecasting.
3. Enforces Quality, Productivity and Efficiency metrics
4. Provides technical guidance/ leadership to Analytics including Team Leads/Lead Analyst
5. Provides team updates and download information to the team.
6. Performs personnel reviews on quarterly and annual basis for subordinates includes coaching sessions, disciplinary actions, Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and Development Plan.
7. Optimizes talent within the organizational structure and fosters an environment to promote individual and team growth with a focus on career development goals.
8. Provides functional support for IT updates for Supply Chain Planning and PSI hierarchy. Develops requirements and provides testing assistance for system enhancements and major upgrades. Designs, optimizes, implements and drives inventory and cycle time reduction plans working cross-functionally. Aligns demand plan with Financial Op plan and Sales account plans. Oversees forecasting, demand and supply planning. Develops and implements process to translate demand plan into capacity and inventory plan and monitor cross-functional compliance.
9. Develops a strategic vision of capacities around the world for the Supply Chain Leaders across the business. Acts as a cross functional liaison to ensure data integrity. Develops new tools and systems to improve forecast accuracy and planning/scheduling effectiveness throughout the Supply Chain organization.
Qualifications
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
• Must have a knowledge and understanding of supply chain.
• Minimum of two years experience in any supply chain functions.
• Ability to drive cross-functional alignment through effective communications
• Ability to apply basic project management techniques
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
Educational attainment requirement/s:
• Bachelor Degree in Business (Supply chain experience preferred), Finance or Marketing.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, or equivalent productivity suites including Demantra
• Strong and articulate oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing concepts.
• Organizing and planning capabilities.
