Job Overview
- Attend meetings and appropriate management forums, providing a central point of information for all related technology activities
- Participates in process improvement activities
- Assume full responsibility for the end-to-end phases of the project: Initiation, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Stabilization
- Develop and maintain project schedule which includes the estimated cost as well as the forecasted schedule
- Project level risks and issue management
- Manages scope changes to avoid scope creep
- Prepare management reports to be presented to senior management
- Manage budget, expenses, and manpower costs from estimating to project closure
- Communicate project objectives to the team and establish clear responsibilities for each member
- Ensure compliance to project management standards and methodologies
- Measure project performance and conduct root cause analysis to address common/recurring/high impact issues, metrics not met, and defects identified
- Ensure proper transition to the applicable support group before project closure
- Facilitate sourcing of solutions and service providers
- Manage the relationship with the solution and services providers.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a 4-year college degree in Computer Science, IT Management or other related courses
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and delivery
- At least 8 years of experience in the IT industry with experience gained from the financial services institution
- Project management experience
- Advanced analysis and design
- Programming experience
- Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
