Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced IT Audit & Data Analytics Manager to lead and oversee engagements involving the use of data analytics in support of IT and integrated audits. This role is responsible for designing and executing data-driven audit procedures, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering actionable insights that enhance audit effectiveness and client value.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in IT audit, practical use of analytics tools, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT audit and assurance engagements where data analytics is used to assess technology controls, system integrity, and process efficiency.
- Design, implement, and manage data extraction, transformation, and analysis procedures to support audit objectives.
- Use tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python, or ACL to analyze large datasets, identify anomalies, and provide risk insights.
- Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to embed data analytics in financial, operational, and regulatory audit engagements.
- Review and validate data outputs, dashboards, and visualizations for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
- Manage timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables across multiple concurrent engagements.
- Coach and mentor junior staff on analytics best practices and audit methodology.
- Assist in developing data analytics frameworks, templates, and knowledge assets for scalable use across engagements.
- Support internal innovation and transformation efforts within the audit and assurance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accountancy, or related field; CPA, CISA, or data analytics certifications are a plus.
- 7-10 years of experience in IT audit or assurance, with at least 3 years applying data analytics in an audit context.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, ACL, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of IT general controls, application controls, and related risk management frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST).
- Experience working in or with professional services or regulated environments is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to translate technical findings into meaningful, business-focused insights.
