About the job Information Security Manager - Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a technically skilled and strategically driven Information Security Manager Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to lead the firms data protection program and ensure the ongoing safeguarding of sensitive information across cloud and enterprise environments. This is a key leadership role, combining hands-on oversight of DLP technologies with cross-functional stakeholder collaboration, vendor management, and team development.
The successful candidate will have experience managing cloud-based DLP toolsprimarily Microsoft Purviewand will be responsible for driving data security initiatives that align with business objectives and compliance mandates. The position offers strong leadership exposure and growth potential, particularly as the Manila-based security team expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the global Data Loss Prevention strategy, tools, and team to protect the firms sensitive information assets.
- Oversee the implementation, tuning, and performance of enterprise-wide DLP solutions, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Purview.
- Drive continuous improvement of DLP policies, controls, and detection logic across cloud platforms, endpoints, and collaboration tools.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to ensure alignment with security and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with DLP vendors and technology partners, ensuring performance and value delivery.
- Monitor DLP operations and metrics, delivering timely reports and recommendations to leadership.
- Support the future growth of the DLP team in Manila, mentoring junior team members and contributing to talent development and succession planning.
- Ensure the DLP function aligns with broader cybersecurity frameworks and governance policies.
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of leadership experience in managing or leading Data Loss Prevention programs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based DLP solutions, particularly Microsoft Purview (experience with Proofpoint, AWS, or GCP will be considered).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure security architecture; Azure certifications a plus.
- Strong understanding of data classification, risk-based controls, policy development, and DLP alert management.
- Proven experience with stakeholder coordination and security operations in enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication, project management, and vendor management skills.
Preferred Certifications (Nice-to-Have):
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- Microsoft SC-400: Information Protection Administrator
