The Legal Administrator provides general assistance in the conduct of legal matters (and supporting administrative matters pertaining thereto) to the affiliates such as but not limited to Legal Business Partners (LBPs), other paralegals, and individuals/departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Within specified parameters, communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as directed by management and/or the LBPs.
  • Gathers and disseminates data, retrieves documents, performs statistical research, prepares written analyses, drafts initial redline responses and or contracts and other necessary tasks, as assigned.
  • Conducts legal research, litigation assistance, contract review/drafting support, correspondence, litigation document review and electronic discovery, other document review as submitted from time to time under the direction of the management, LBPs, and/or assisting the LBPs and US based paralegals with their own research.
  • As directed by management, the LBPs, and US based paralegals, provides assistance in the collection, extraction and filtering of digitized documents, legal transcription, due diligence, basic budget/accounting support, outside counsel billing issue resolution and monitoring, data entry, document gathering and organization for litigation preparation.
  • Attends meetings to identify issues for legal administration and communicates them to appropriate legal personnel.
  • Maintains such files, charts, and databases, as assigned.
  • Prepares presentations as required.
  • Provides legal updates to the legal team, as required.
  • Be able to identify and differentiate which are legal clauses (requires on-shore attorney/paralegal approval), business clauses (requires approval from Business leadership) and hybrid clauses (both legal and business) in a particular contract
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Law graduate (Philippine Bar passer not a requirement)
  • Must have 2-4 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department such as but not necessarily limited to contract review, drafting and management
  • Can work Graveyard rotating shift
  • Can do onsite during training period, Hybrid set-up after training
