Job Summary:
We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to support the design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise IT systems across on-premises and cloud environments. This role ensures the stability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure that supports business operations in a shared services or corporate technology environment.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization, and cloud platforms, and is comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise systems including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Support operating system deployments, upgrades, and patch management across Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Configure system components, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to availability and security standards.
- Participate in system architecture planning, implementation of tools, and automation of recurring tasks.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file systems, and group policies.
- Assist in backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and endpoint security efforts.
- Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and support logs.
- Collaborate with IT support, security, and application teams to resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
- Support compliance, audit readiness, and infrastructure governance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering, administration, or enterprise IT support.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server and/or Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, and enterprise backup tools.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS), scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in resolving hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or Azure Administrator are a plus.
