TECH Technological University, is looking to hire an HR Officer for its offices based in the Makati.

What does this role entail?


Provides specialized operational and administrative support to a centralized human resources specialty activity, mainly in the fields of recruitment, hiring, compensation and benefits, and payroll.

Payroll main duties:

Processes monthly payroll for all groups of employees, performs complex payroll calculations, collects and verifies information from departments for proper processing of payroll transactions, creates, audits, corrects, and balances payroll, and generates a variety of reports.

Analyzes integrated payroll system calculations for accuracy; investigates, and applies corrective action as needed. Develops and maintains complex payroll spreadsheets, collects, analyzes, calculates, and audits information from all relevant forms, processes adjustments.

Performs and monitors calculations related to gross pay, the application of withholdings and taxes. Make the relevant communications on hiring and salary payments to the corresponding government agencies.

Interprets and explains payroll practices and procedures to employees.

Review, process and verify new hire documentation for all employees, create and update employee database.

Prevention of occupational hazards:

Complies with regulations on occupational risk prevention to ensure proper compliance in the office.

Labor Relations:

Knows and masters the applicable regulations on labor relations.

Attends and responds to employee queries regarding labor relations: queries about payroll, work schedules, leaves and absences, etc.

Applies of the disciplinary regime established in relation to the applicable labor regulations.


360º management of the selection process:

  • Gathering of requirements by the internal client.
  • Creation of profile and job description as needed.
  • Opening posting.
  • CV screening.
  • Telephone and/or face-to-face interviews.
  • Preparation of reports.
  • Presentation of final candidates to the final client.
  • Onboarding management.
