About the job R2R (Record to Report) Global Banking Manager

     This central team will therefore pick up activities currently managed in both P2P and O2C. The associated Manager will therefore have a pivotal role, ultimately responsible for some 130 bank and ledger accounts, accounting for 500,000 transactions annually, 300 daily reconciliations and delivering several (significant) improvement initiatives. These are all ultimately aimed at reducing the number of bank and associated GL accounts, reducing the number of systems in use, and driving efficiencies, increased effectiveness, and accounting accuracy.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reducing the number of suspense accounts (170) and cash processing backlogs, while updating all relevant policies (in co-operation with Compliance, Group Finance, Treasury, and other GFS team).
  • Ensuring robust, daily cash reconciliations and improving cash flow forecasting.
  • Maintaining appropriate segregation between Cash management (payments and allocation of receipts), reconciliations and GL accounting.
  • Managing the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of performance and developing/cross training the team to ensure it is correctly staffed and trained for the tasks.
  • Refining and extending the use of systems (bank software, Oracle Cash Manager and O2C ICD) to deliver further efficiencies and automation of cash postings.
  • Upgrading and managing SOX and other compliance procedures to the highest level.

Qualifications:

  • With experience in Global Banking is a must
  • Awareness of the current GFS environment and accounting requirements, particularly around cash management and accounting.
  • University degree or equivalent professional accounting/ finance qualification.
  • At least 5 years demonstrated success in a similar or related positions.
  • Able to combine the overall business view with relevant details.
  • In- depth knowledge and sound understanding of finance, accounting, and business performance management.
  • A team player with a strong drive for results.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle or similar financial reporting systems is required.
