JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Team Supervisor and Coding Manager, Team Leader is responsible for creating, organizing, developing, monitoring and documenting the daily activities of a group of medical coders, auditors, trainers or customer service agents which include but may not be limited to the following tasks relative to team management, client support and team members personal and professional development.

SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY:

The work of this position is guided by defined policies, guidelines, and established practices and precedents.

This position is responsible to adhere to all national guidelines as set forth by the Labor Code of the Philippines and various company guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Team Management

1. Coordinates day-to-day operational management which includes and not limited to assignment of work orders, completing of daily objectives and ensuring quality errors are corrected in a timely manner.
2. Allocate resources based on approval, so that reporting targets are met consistently.
3. Acknowledging and responding to client queries and concerns with a corresponding solution.
4. Participating in teleconference calls with the client to improve working relationships and building confidence.
5. Excellent knowledge in MS Office and generating various types of reports.
6. Measure, review and report quality progress to the team and provide needed guidance on quality issues observed through audits.
7. Conduct performance reviews with staff periodically through the business year.
8. Periodic updates shared with the team based on client directives and in a timely manner.
9. Staff duties, annual leave, holiday schedule and other requirements managed to ensure adequate staff levels are maintained at all times,
10. Respond to employee needs appropriately and with effective results.
11. Perform all necessary reconciliation daily, weekly or monthly as expected.
12. Ensure month end projects are being met and provide corresponding reports for management review.
13. Other tasks/functions that may be assigned by the company as per business requirement; these may change from time to time to reflect the changing requirement of your position and our business.

B. STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
1. Review, analyze and enhance conduction of coaching sessions for rank and file team members by the POC periodically.
2. Review and endorse researches and recommendations of innovative suggestions regarding incentive programs by POC to Team Supervisor and Coding Managers in order to motivate production staff and aid in employees personal and professional development.

C. CLIENT SERVICES DELIVERY
1. Direct and implement training of POC in attendance and participation in clients meetings.
2. Train POC how to responds to clients concerns in a timely and accurate manner. Must be able to direct and implement solutions for any client issues.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent rating in oral and written American English. With strong supervisory, leadership and
management skills. Computer savvy with operational expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Very good organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to motivate team members to
perform at their optimum levels. Must be results driven and goal-oriented. Must be a role-model to the staff. This person must be able to handle many tasks simultaneously and still be available to handle new tasks and problems that arise unexpectedly. He/she must be able to interface on a professional level at all times with a variety of different personalities and positions. Must be a team player whose enthusiasm and dedication to the company must be the example of which the entire team will follow. Approachable, objective, focused and professionally able to give and receive constructive feedback. Must be willing to work long hours. Must be willing to work in varying shifts. Must be able to report to work in the office religiously and on time.

Education or equivalency:
- Graduate of any four-year course, preferably in life sciences.
- At least One (1) year training and work experience in the business vertical (i.e. medical coding, auditing, customer service representative, etc.)
Experience:
- At least six (6) months experience in live work with average Quality of 98%
Certification/licensure:
- With Certification in the specific line of business vertical (i.e. AHIMA/AAPC for medical
coding and auditing, etc.)
