Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic AVP Global Procurement & Strategic Sourcing to lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives and drive value across procurement categories at an enterprise level. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cost efficiency, contract compliance, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while aligning procurement practices with global standards and business goals.

The successful candidate will lead high-impact sourcing events, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple regions to deliver sustainable procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex sourcing initiatives across various indirect and/or direct spend categories on a global scale.
  • Develop and implement category strategies that drive savings, mitigate risk, and support business objectives.
  • Conduct supplier market assessments, RFX development, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service levels, quality standards, and commercial terms are upheld.
  • Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support procurement governance, compliance with procurement policies, and adherence to regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver actionable insights.
  • Partner with finance and legal teams to ensure transparency, control, and risk mitigation in sourcing decisions.
  • Support procurement system enhancements and contribute to process automation and reporting improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field; a Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM, CPSM) are a plus.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement roles, including 2-3 years in a leadership or AVP capacity.
  • Proven experience managing global or regional sourcing initiatives across multiple spend categories.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive value and long-term supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in procurement platforms and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen; able to interpret complex data to inform procurement strategy.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment is preferred.
