Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Operations Engineer to support planning, execution, and optimization of technical operations across energy data acquisition, offshore surveys, and geoscience services. This role ensures that systems, processes, and equipment function effectively both onshore and offshore, and works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality operational outcomes.
The ideal candidate has strong technical and logistical experience, with a background in marine survey operations, energy fieldwork, or geotechnical data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate technical operations for data acquisition, survey deployments, and equipment mobilization.
- Monitor system performance and operational metrics to ensure efficient and safe execution of field activities.
- Work with field crews, contractors, and vendors to support vessel preparation, equipment testing, and logistics.
- Support post-operation data verification, reporting, and quality assurance reviews.
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, or telemetry systems used during survey or acquisition campaigns.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and HSE compliance reports.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and data processing teams to align field output with project goals.
- Participate in risk assessments, pre-mobilization planning, and lessons-learned evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Marine, or related field).
- 3-5 years of experience in operations or technical roles within the energy, geoscience, or marine survey industry.
- Strong understanding of offshore or remote operations, field engineering practices, and project logistics.
- Familiarity with geophysical systems, survey instrumentation, or marine equipment is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel or support rotational assignments as needed.
- Knowledge of HSE procedures and risk management frameworks is a plus.
