Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and client-focused Workday Junior Lead Consultant to support the delivery of Workday HCM implementations and optimizations. This role bridges the gap between hands-on configuration and functional leadership, working across modules such as Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, and Recruiting. You will collaborate closely with clients, functional teams, and technical stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of Workday projects.
This role is ideal for experienced Workday consultants ready to take on broader responsibilities, such as leading workstreams, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to solution design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead configuration and deployment activities across Workday HCM modules.
- Serve as a workstream lead for specific functional areas, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, translate them into system solutions, and guide decision-making based on best practices.
- Perform unit testing, assist with integration and data validation, and support user acceptance testing.
- Document functional requirements, configuration workbooks, and user guides.
- Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Stay up to date on Workday enhancements and help clients adopt new features strategically.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 4-6 years of Workday HCM experience, with at least 1-2 full lifecycle implementations.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following modules: Core HCM, Absence, Compensation, Recruiting, or Benefits.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and system configuration practices.
- Experience with Workday reporting, EIBs, and calculated fields is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, client-facing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Certifications:
- Workday Certified in one or more HCM modules
- Project management or Agile delivery certifications are a plus
