Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Manager Strategic Pursuits Content to lead a global team focused on delivering high-quality pitch content and proposals across the firms international client pursuits function. This role plays a critical leadership position in shaping how the firm presents its services, capabilities, and client solutionssupporting major pitches and RFP responses across regions and industries.
As the go-to expert for pitch content strategy, you will lead content development efforts that reflect the firms value propositions, business risks, and complex client needs. You will manage a team of experienced writers and coordinators across multiple time zones and cultures, and oversee content processes, technologies, and training initiatives to elevate pitch performance and consistency firmwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global pitch content team (5 members) in the development, refinement, and maintenance of high-impact content used in client proposals and major pursuits.
- Partner with senior stakeholders and pursuit leaders to craft tailored, client-centric narratives that address commercial challenges, legal complexity, and business value.
- Oversee a portfolio of reusable pitch content, including firm capabilities, sector-specific solutions, and key differentiators aligned with business development goals.
- Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across a culturally diverse and geographically dispersed team.
- Guide the adoption of best practices in proposal writing, storytelling, and response structuring.
- Drive the use of tools, templates, and technology platforms for streamlined content management and quality control.
- Design and deliver training programs and resources to enhance pitch writing skills and content consistency across global teams.
Qualifications:
- 15-20 years of professional experience in proposal writing, strategic pursuits, or business development content within a professional services, consulting, legal, engineering, or financial services firm.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally managing geographically distributed teams and working across cultures.
- Strong business writing skills with a focus on client solutioning, value proposition articulation, risk framing, and persuasive proposal development.
- Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, including partners and executive-level leaders.
- Familiarity with proposal development software, content repositories, and workflow tools.
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Preferred Background:
- Experience developing proposals and pitch content in legal or consulting environments.
- Solid understanding of B2B sales enablement and pursuit strategies.
- Not a marketing or journalism profileideal candidates will come from a technical, legal, or business development background with a writing-heavy focus.
