Responsibilities:

  • Mixology Expertise: Bartenders should have a deep understanding of mixology, which includes the art and science of crafting cocktails. They should be proficient in creating a wide variety of cocktails, including classic and signature drinks.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service is paramount. Bartenders should be friendly, approachable, and attentive to customer needs. They must engage with patrons, take drink orders, and offer suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, adhering to established recipes and quality standards. This includes measuring and mixing ingredients, garnishing drinks, and using appropriate glassware.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an organized bar area by monitoring and restocking supplies, such as alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and utensils. Keep track of inventory levels and place orders as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure the bar area is clean, sanitized, and compliant with health and safety regulations. This includes regularly cleaning bar equipment, glassware, and work surfaces.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash and process payments accurately. Bartenders often manage cash registers, collect payments, and provide change to customers.
  • Knowledge of Alcoholic Beverages: Possess a strong understanding of various alcoholic beverages, including their origins, flavor profiles, and serving recommendations. Bartenders should also be aware of alcohol laws and regulations.
