Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations within a project-driven or multi-vendor operating environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payment of obligations while maintaining compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with procurement, operations, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices, verify accuracy against purchase orders and delivery receipts, and ensure timely approvals.
  • Prepare and schedule payments via check, bank transfer, or online platforms in accordance with due dates and internal policies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, maintain accurate aging schedules, and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, and documentation requirements (e.g., VAT, withholding tax).
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities related to payables and accruals.
  • Assist in audit preparations by providing supporting documents and responding to queries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records in the accounting system.
  • Collaborate with procurement and project teams to align payment schedules with contract terms and project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles; experience in engineering, energy, or project-based industries is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Familiarity with invoice processing, tax compliance, and vendor management practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills when working with cross-functional teams.
  • CPA qualification is a plus, but not required.
