Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Audit Methodology & Technical Standards Manager to join the professional practice group. This role is responsible for driving the implementation, development, and enhancement of audit methodology, policies, and guidance materials in line with applicable standards and regulatory expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external audit, technical research, and advisory support, and will work closely with audit teams to promote consistency and audit quality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on auditing standards, accounting frameworks (e.g., ISA, IFRS), and related regulatory updates.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of audit methodology, tools, templates, and practice guidance.
  • Respond to complex audit queries from engagement teams and support the consistent application of standards.
  • Monitor global and local standard-setting developments, assess their impact, and drive updates to firm guidance accordingly.
  • Collaborate with quality reviewers, risk teams, and firm leadership on audit quality initiatives and remediation efforts.
  • Support training content development and delivery for technical updates and methodology refreshers.
  • Contribute to internal and external inspections, documentation reviews, and methodology compliance assessments.
  • Supervise junior technical team members and foster a strong culture of audit excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in external audit, including a minimum of 2-3 years in a technical or methodology-focused role.
  • In-depth knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and audit regulatory environments.
  • Experience developing audit methodology and technical guidance preferred.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and project management abilities.
