The Technical Lead is primarily responsible for the study, development, and implementation of all projects assigned to the team to ensure that functional, operational, and compliance requirements are met.

  1. Main Accountabilities (5 ~ 7 major activities the incumbent performs that contribute to the bank’s business performance)

2.1 Manage development team to ensure technical deliverables are completed

  • Reviews technical designs/specifications of analysts under the team
  • Development of solution and unit testing
  • Support SIT and UAT activities
  • Ensure compliance of managed project to bank and industry standards
  • Prepare access rights matrix and risk assessment documents
  • Perform capacity planning for projects handled
  • Ensure that programs adhere to standards

2.2 Provide subject matter expertise that may be needed by various IT and business units.

2.3 Provide project technical requirements to the ITPM that will be used to form part of the RFP docs for large complex projects. Address technical questions from the vendors when needed.

2.4 Assist in problem isolation when necessary. Escalate to EA team in-case issue cannot be resolved.

2.5 Prepare technical (architectural) test case to be included in the SIT. Review and monitor the testing on technical test case.

2.6 Supervise the members of the team

  • Evaluate the performance of each team member. Provide coaching and counseling as required.

    • Evaluate the skills and recommend the team members for training
    • Train technical resources to be SME’s in their areas or applications supported

5. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Education (Minimum/Preferred Undergraduate/Graduate/Post Graduate)
    • Graduate of a 4-year college degree in IT, computer science, or other IT-related courses
  • Experience (Minimum/Preferred Actual Experience/Work Experience)
    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar function
    • At least 5 years of experience in leading a technical team
    • At least 1 year of experience in a financial institution
  • Knowledge (Minimum Training/Certification Course Requirements)
    • Solution Delivery Life Cycle

    • COBOL, CICS, JAVA, VB, SQL Programming
