Job Summary:

The Team Head - Generalist will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives while overseeing the development and execution of compensation strategies. This position will lead a team of 4-5 professionals, ensuring that compensation practices support the attraction, retention, and engagement of top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Business Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing insights and solutions related to human resources and compensation.
  • Compensation Strategy: Design and implement comprehensive compensation strategies that are competitive and aligned with market trends.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive positioning of compensation packages across the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 professionals in the compensation and business partner functions, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR business partners and senior management to align compensation strategies with organizational goals.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to enhance employee understanding and appreciation of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop key metrics and reports to assess the effectiveness of compensation strategies and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, GRP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR business partnering and compensation, with at least 7-8 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, benefits administration, and relevant legislation in Hong Kong.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and financial planning related to compensation and benefits.
