Responsibilities
- Client Development: Actively build relationships with Chinese/foreign institutional clients (hedge funds, asset managers, PE firms); originate business opportunities in secondary market equities, new issues, and IPO underwriting.
- Sales Execution: Participate in equity sales/trading, product marketing, and placement; grasp client appetites and relay to trading/research teams for customized solutions; follow through from pitching to execution.
- Market Intelligence: Provide research-driven insights, execute transactions (including algo trading), and support prime brokerage services like margin financing and securities lending.
- Business Growth: Source deals, lead pitches, and contribute to revenue targets amid HK's IPO surge driving equity demand from tech/biotech listings.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Investment, or related; CFA preferred.
- 3-10 years equities sales experience with established institutional client base.
- SFC licensed (Types 1/4); fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese.
- Strong communication, strategic sales vision, out-of-box problem-solving; persistent deal-maker with broker relationships.
