A Private Banking & Wealth Management Relationship Managers serve ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices, managing comprehensive portfolios exceeding RMB$200-300M+ AUM size.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Proactively building new house HNW/UHNW clients through networking, referrals, and market intelligence; conduct in-depth needs analysis to design bespoke wealth strategies including asset allocation, risk profiling, and multi-asset solutions (equities, bonds, funds, alternatives, structured products).
  • Deliver personalized investment recommendations leveraging CMB Group's research, global markets access, and cross-border capabilities; monitor performance, rebalance portfolios, and execute trades while ensuring regulatory compliance (SFC Type 1/4/9 licensing).
  • Promote ecosystem products like private equity, legacy planning, trusts, insurance wrappers, and RMB wealth solutions; collaborate with investment, credit, and product teams for tailored financing and intergenerational wealth transfer.
  • Perform thorough due diligence, AML checks, and ongoing suitability assessments; prepare credit proposals and manage client onboarding per internal policies and HKMA guidelines.
  • Contribute to department targets by growing AUM, revenue (fees, commissions), and client retention rates; participate in client events, seminars, and market updates.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Finance, Business, Economics, or related; CFA/CPA/CFP preferred.
  • 5+ years private banking/wealth management experience with proven HNW client track record (HK$30M+ portfolios).
  • Strong product knowledge across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and derivatives; proficiency in Bloomberg/Reuters.
  • Excellent trilingual communication (English, Cantonese, Mandarin) for Mainland/GBA clients.
  • SFC RA (Types 1,4,9); team player with high integrity and client-centric mindset.
