Hedz Recruitment is seeking a proven HR Manager for a leading automotive group in Johannesburg. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources within the business, ensuring HR practices align with labour legislation and organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Full-cycle recruitment: Sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of staff

  • Employee relations: Handling grievances, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and employee engagement

  • Performance management: Setting KPIs, conducting performance appraisals, and implementing performance improvement plans

  • HR compliance: Ensuring adherence to South African labour law, MIBCO, and company policies

  • Policy development & implementation: Creating, updating, and enforcing HR policies and procedures

  • HR administration: Maintaining employee records, contracts, HRIS management, reporting, and HR metrics

  • Training & development: Identifying training needs and coordinating staff development programs

  • Compensation & benefits: Assisting with salary administration, benefits management, and reward programs

Minimum Requirements / Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration

5 years' experience as an HR Manager in the automotive industry

Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management & employee relations

Proven experience in HR compliance, policy implementation & HR administration

Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation & MIBCO – non-negotiable

Knowledge of HR systems and HRIS software

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
