Financial Manager Vacancy | Johannesburg | Motor Industry

HEDZ Recruitment Specialists is recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive group for an experienced Financial Manager. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will oversee the full financial function across multiple dealerships while leading a team of accountants and ensuring the highest standards of financial governance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full financial function across multiple dealership operations.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and executive financial reports.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, internal controls and corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee creditors, debtors, general ledger, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage OEM financial reporting, manufacturer reconciliations and incentive claim submissions.
• Direct all month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to executive management to improve profitability and operational performance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Partner with operational management and the CFO to support sound commercial decision-making and continuous financial improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Financial Manager.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial positions within the motor dealership industry.
• Previous motor dealership experience is essential.
• Experience working on a Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Strong dealership accounting systems and financial controls knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
