Senior WordPress VIP - PHP Developer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior WordPress VIP PHP Developer with at least 10 years of professional experience in PHP development and a strong background in WordPress VIP.

The ideal candidate will lead the implementation of large-scale WordPress VIP deployments, including multi-site setups and analytics integrations.

It's desired to have video streaming solutions implementation experience.

This role requires hands-on technical expertise, team leadership experience, and excellent communication skills to lead a technical team and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end development and deployment of WordPress VIP projects.
• Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance WordPress multi-site implementations.
• Integrate video streaming technologies (e.g., Endeavor/Vesper)
• Implement, configure, and manage Adobe Analytics for comprehensive tracking and reporting.
• Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes tailored to client needs.
• Optimize WordPress websites for speed, performance, and security using best practices (e.g., caching, CDN).
• Troubleshoot possible issues in production environments and provide quick resolutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and analytics teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Hard Skills:

• PHP: Advanced skills in PHP, ideally including main frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, Zend)
• WordPress VIP: Extensive experience with WordPress VIP environments, including developing and deploying high-traffic websites.
• Multi-Site Architecture: Hands-on expertise in building and managing WordPress multi-site setups.
• Adobe Analytics: Proficiency in implementing and managing Adobe Analytics or equivalent tools.
• Front-End Development: Proficient in HTML5, CSS, JS and responsive design.
• Database Management: Strong knowledge of MySQL, query optimization, and database design for WordPress.
• Version Control: Expertise in Git workflows and tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Performance Optimization: Proficiency in WordPress caching (e.g., Varnish, WP Rocket)
• Security: Good understanding of WordPress security best practices.
• (Desired) API Development: Experience in creating and integrating custom RESTful APIs.
• (Desired) Video Streaming: Proven experience with video streaming technologies like Endeavor or similar platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record of delivering high-performance, scalable WordPress solutions.
