Senior Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Focused)

Summary

Youll build and own the frontend of a media platform delivering performant polished user experiences for video content and advertising surfaces. Youll work directly with the team own your feature work end-to-end including lightweight back-end when needed and be expected to make sound UI architecture decisions without waiting to be told what to do. If you care deeply about what users see feel and experience and you understand the unique challenges of media delivery on the web this is your role.

Requirements Must-Haves

• Excellent English communication skills you will interact directly with clients ask the right questions and represent Nimble with zero friction

• 5 plus years of professional software development experience with demonstrated seniority in frontend-heavy roles

• Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript you have owned complex component systems in production not just built forms and dashboards

• Strong JavaScript fundamentals you understand rendering performance browser APIs and the event loop not just framework abstractions

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs or GraphQL enough back-end fluency to own your data layer without needing a dedicated API engineer beside you

• Track record of delivering high-performance web interfaces you have diagnosed rendering bottlenecks optimized bundles implemented lazy loading and you have results to back it up

• Clean code discipline meaningful test coverage component reusability maintainability you leave codebases better than you found them

• Experience with Node.js (Express or NestJS) or GoLang for back-end services you can own API work when the role calls for it

Requirements Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with video players Video.js Shaka Player HLS.js or similar you have integrated or customized a player in a real production product

• Familiarity with ad integration on the web VAST/VMAP/IMA SDK programmatic ad slots or ad lifecycle management in a frontend context

• Exposure to AWS media tools CloudFront for media delivery S3 or Lambda functions supporting media or content workflows

• Experience with Next.js or SSR/SSG React patterns

• Background in media news broadcast or streaming platforms you understand content pipelines live vs VOD and the UX patterns that work in this space

• Exposure to real-time UI patterns WebSockets live content updates or event-driven interfaces

• Familiarity with media analytics and tracking — playback event tracking ad impression measurement and engagement metrics

• Ability to mentor or technically guide less experienced engineers

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with CMS integrations Sanity Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms common in media and news

• Experience with PixiJS WebGL or canvas-based rendering for rich media or interactive content
