About the Project
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Architect with exceptional technical, leadership, and communication skills to lead a strategic AWS Landing Zone migration for a client in the gaming industry. This engagement, in partnership with AWS Professional Services, involves designing and implementing a multi-account AWS environment using AWS Control Tower to establish a secure, scalable, and compliant foundation for future cloud initiatives.
This role combines deep hands-on technical expertise with management and customer-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will act as both a technical leader and project liaison, guiding cross-functional teams, interfacing directly with client stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery through strong collaboration, governance, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Architect & Implement AWS Landing Zone: Design and oversee the hands-on implementation of a secure multi-account AWS environment using AWS Control Tower.
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor cross-functional DevOps and engineering teams, ensuring high performance, alignment, and adherence to project timelines.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders, presenting architectural decisions, progress updates, and technical recommendations.
- Governance & Security: Define and enforce AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and Guardrails to maintain compliance and security standards.
- Infrastructure Automation: Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure scalable and repeatable deployments.
- CI/CD Development: Design and implement automated deployment pipelines to support efficient environment provisioning.
- Identity & Access Management: Integrate AWS IAM Identity Center with external identity providers (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID).
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with security, networking, and application teams to align infrastructure design with overall business and cloud strategy.
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce and maintain architecture documentation, design diagrams, and operational runbooks for the new landing zone.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, or Cloud Engineering roles, with a strong focus on AWS.
- AWS Control Tower Expertise: Proven experience designing and managing AWS Control Tower environments, including Account Factory, OUs, and Guardrails.
- Leadership: Demonstrated success managing teams or leading multi-stakeholder projects in a client-facing capacity.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills to engage directly with technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
- Infrastructure as Code: Expert-level proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Scripting & Automation: Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, Bash) for automating tasks and workflows.
- Cloud Governance: Strong understanding of multi-account governance, compliance, and security principles.
- Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
