Timezone: Open to all LATAM candidates (GMT-8 - GMT-3)

As a Senior Backend Fullstack Engineer you will:

  • Focus on the Backend but also traverse the stack into the organization's Frontend web (Hotwire) and Mobile
  • Design and build systems and products that align with business objective and user needs
  • Be responsible for the upkeep, performance optimization, and scale-up of the organization's current product and processes
  • Uphold high engineering and security standards and continuously improve organization's codebases and processes
  • Troubleshoot and address bugs or issues swiftly and efficiently
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the company to understand product specifications and observe product impact

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Have 6+ years of experience as a Backend or Full-stack Engineer, handling projects of various complexities
  • Are highly proficient with Ruby on Rails
  • Have experience working with Javascript
  • Have strong experience working with relational databases, mainly PostgreSQL, and ORM libraries like ActiveRecord
  • Enjoy significant ownership and take pride in your independence
  • Like to ship code and test user-facing changes swiftly and rapidly
  • Can learn quickly in a new environment and has a can-do attitude with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Are a great communicator and collaborator whos able to work and thrive in cross-functional environments
  • Love remote work

Bonus points if you:

  • Commercial experience with React/React Native
  • Experience or is willing to learn Hotwire / Stimulus
  • Experience in the FinTech or SaaS space
  • Experience working in a distributed international team(s) environment
