Drivers based near Lakeland, FL can join our regional flatbed fleet hauling flat steel, pipe, and coil freight across five surrounding states (FL, GA, AL, MS, LA). Drivers in this position typically run 2,300–2,800 miles per week, earning $1,500–$2,000 weekly depending on miles and freight volume.
Driver Earnings
- Drivers are paid 27% of linehaul revenue, typically comparable to around $0.70 CPM depending on the freight and routing.
- $40 tarp pay per tarped load
- $50 layover pay after 24 hours
- $16/hour detention pay after 2 hours
- $300 weekly non-taxed per diem
- Safety and clean inspection bonuses available
Sign-On Bonus
- $5,000 sign-on bonus available
- $1,500 paid with the first paycheck
- $1,500 after 6 months
- $2,000 after 12 months
Home Time
- Drivers running this regional flatbed position are generally home Friday evening or early Saturday morning, allowing time for a 34–48 hour reset before the next work week.
- Drivers who prefer to remain on the road longer may have opportunities to run additional miles and increase weekly earnings.
Freight & Equipment
- Drivers haul steel, pipe, and coil freight on flatbed trailers across regional routes.
- Approximately 40% of loads require tarping, while the remaining freight typically involves standard flatbed securement.
- Drivers operate 2022 and newer Kenworth T680 trucks that are fully assigned, and drivers may take their truck home during time off.
- Trailers are equipped with chains, straps, and coil racks required for proper load securement.

Driver Requirements
- Must be 22 years of age or older
- Minimum 12 months of verifiable flatbed experience within the past 5 years
- Experience securing steel, pipe, or coil freight required
- Ability to use straps, chains, binders, and tarps (40–50% loads tarped)
- No DUI/DWI within the past 5 years and no Clearinghouse violations
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Clean MVR preferred
