Senior Data Engineer

We are working with a company building AI-powered HVAC optimization platforms for industrial clients in sectors like pharma and semiconductors, and as part of their continued growth, NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a Senior Data Engineer to join their Malaysia team.

The package is competitive at USD 36k year (excluding bonus).

What youll do:

• Build and maintain big data pipelines handling real-time sensor and control data

• Design event-driven data systems using Kafka and Spark Streaming

• Develop cloud-based analytics (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Delta Lakehouse solutions

• Ensure data quality, run automated validation, and manage metadata

• Collaborate with AI and IoT teams to support ML models and analytics

• Optimize for performance, cost, and scalability

What were looking for:

• 3-6+ years in big data engineering or infrastructure

• Strong skills in Spark, Python, SQL, Databricks, and Azure Synapse

• Experience with visualization tools like Apache Superset, Tableau, or Power BI

• Solid knowledge of cloud infra, Git, and schema validation
